Sometimes we New Yorkers think that we can get anything we want. What a silly idea. Venture outside the US and there are enough new and interesting products to fill an entire Wal-Mart. And most of the time, you can't get them here!
One of note is Garnier Ambre Solaire. This line of sunscreens is from the same Garnier that brings us Fructis shampoo here in the US, but I don't think you can get Ambre Solaire here, even though it's apparently the #1 line in Europe. I first tried the Protective Milk in Greece when I ran out of the Neutrogena crap I was using. It was amazing! It went on like body lotion, left my skin with a bit of a sheen instead of the chalky white residue of most sunscreens, and it smelled great! I immediately went back and loaded up on some more of their products. The spray is even better than the milk! It's not sticky at all and it really feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen.
Next time I leave the country I am definitely going to stock up. Friends, take note: when you go on your next vacation outside the US please bring back some Garnier Ambre Solaire, for yourself and for me!
