Pants season is upon us, but that's no excuse to neglect your legs! The cold weather calls for a heavy-duty shaving product that's up to the task - rich and moisturizing without making a foamy, perfumey mess of your shower. (Regular readers will know that regular old drugstore shaving creams are given no quarter in my shower; I've never been a fan of their messiness, or their scents, which I find reminiscent of air freshener.)

So when I heard that specialty shaving company Maine Shave was developing a new shaving cream, Intimate Moments, especially for Victoria's Secret, I had to give it a try. Maine Shave does shaving seriously; no bizarre scents, unnecessary blue or pink dye, or propellant cans here.

Intimate Moments Shaving Cream promises to be the world's sexiest - and it delivers. Shea butter, jojoba, aloe and their friends, housed in a mild vegetable soap base, indeed make for an excellent shave. The cream has a great texture; smooth, luxuriously thick, but not so much so that it clogs your razor or refuses to spread. It rinses away easily, and has a mild, slightly herbal smell that's soothing without interfering with your other bath and body products.

Best of all? It delivers a close shave and leaves your skin feeling soft, moisturized and smooth. Oh, and as the name implies - it's also great for spots other than your legs.
