A Shift in Cleanser Loyalty

I am incredibly picky about face cleansers; some break me out, some leave a film, some dry my skin out, and some lay dormant for months until they decide to rebel and launch an attack on my skin (Philosophy Purity, that's you).

I'd been happy with my current rotation - Murad Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser for regular days, and Boscia Soothing Cleansing Cream for dry skin days and travel. But when I ran out of both, my "use it up" regimen forced me to go to my existing stash rather than repurchase.

My new cleanser of choice is Aveda Outer Peace, and half a bottle later I'm still in love with it. Like the Murad cleanser, it's of the self-foaming variety; press the pump and you'll get a fluffy little cloud of cleanser. Outer Peace isn't drying, nor does it clog my pores or leave a film. But one of the best parts is that AVEDA SMELL. If you've ever used any of their products, you know what I mean. It's herbal and refreshing and just...yum.

Outer Peace is also supposed to be good for acne-prone skin, which may be part of the reason I haven't seen too many pesky blemishes since starting it.

If you're curious about trying this cleanser, Aveda is currently offering a free 50 ml bottle with any purchase from the Outer Peace line (including the new Cooling Masque). Click here to check it out!
