Resurrecting the Brand: Goldfaden

When Beauty Addict first began to attract the attention of publicists back in early '06, I received some product from a small, dermatologist formulated line called Cosmesis. The line was the brainchild of Beverly Hills derm Dr. Gary Goldfaden, and while the products worked well and had a good "story" (red tea as a key ingredient), they just weren't that exciting. There were only a few items available, the packaging looked, well, kind of dinky, and there was just no "buzz" surrounding the products. Not exactly a recipe for success in the competitive skincare market.

Since then, the line has been given a major facelift and a new name (it's now simply "Goldfaden"), and has expanded quite nicely into a full range of skincare products with much-improved packaging and a spot on QVC. Red tea is still the key antioxidant ingredient, but the products, and the entire brand experience, are light years better than the first go-round.

I've been testing out several of them, and so far have been duly impressed. My early favorite is the 3-in-1 Daily Power Moisturizer, which boasts Red Tea, CoQ10, DMAE, vitamin E and retinol among its ingredients. I started using it on vacation and my skin looks fab! It hydrates without clogging my pores, and I've had no problems with breakouts, oily patches, dry patches, or redness.

Stay tuned for more reviews from this fab revamped line!
