Dress Up Your Deodorant with Donna Karan

For years I'd been hearing that Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant/Anti-Perspirant was a "cult favorite beauty item." I even heard stories of women swooping by the Donna Karan counter and buying up the entire stock! But for the life of me, I could never figure out why. I mean, come on, it's deodorant! What's the big deal?

Well, I finally tried it out, and...I'm a convert. It's great. Just great. Smells great, works great, feels great. I can see tiny flecks of shimmer in the tube (I don't know where they're coming from, though; there's no mica in the ingredients), but they barely show up on skin. This is a good thing; who wants, for lack of a better term, disco pits?

Cashmere Mist, in its antiperspirant form, smells lighter than the original fragrance (again, a good thing); I get violet leaf from it, although that's not listed in the notes. In any case, it's light and unobtrusive, and smells clean and powdery. Simply put, I like it.

And I can totally see how one could become hooked on it.

The only drawback? It's a whopping $18 for a 1.7 oz tube. Fortunately for all you Cashmere Mist fiends out there, you can now get it in a 3-pack for $45. And even better, you can stash a $10 mini in your office drawer, your car, or your beach bag, so your underarms can be fancy anytime!
