Eye Do

A few weeks ago when I had my makeup done at BECCA, makeup artist Shaun-Thomas gasped and stepped back when he started to apply concealer to my under-eye area.

Uh-oh, I thought. He is going to tell me that my undereye area is in terrible shape, that I have wrinkles, that I am a bad beauty "expert," a sloppy disgrace, a mess!

Instead, he asked, "WHAT are you using under your eyes? What is that? The skin under your eyes feels amazing! Tell me what it is! I need to write it down!"

I had never before been complimented on my undereyes before. But I must admit, I have been pretty impressed with their condition these days, because I've been using a great new product that I'm absolutely in love with.

I bet you want me to tell you what it is now, huh?

OK. Relastin Eye Silk. Possibly the best eye cream I have ever tried. Actually, it's not really a cream at all - since it's silicone-based, it has a gel-like consistency very similar to Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. It has some pretty convincing clinical data behind it that shows that it actually increases elastin in your skin - if you want to know more about this, visit the Relastin site or go ask the Beauty Brains. I'm not a scientist so I'll leave that to the experts.

But I will tell you this. My eyes have never looked or felt better. I've been having some pretty late nights these days, both out on the town and in the office, and my eyes are certainly not showing any signs of it. The skin feels smooth and tight, with no puffiness or wrinkling. And because of its consistency, Relastin Eye Silk even makes a great base for concealer, allowing it to go on smoothly without settling into fine lines.

And surely, being COMPLIMENTED ON MY UNDEREYE AREA is reason enough for me to keep using this, bottle after bottle, forever and ever Amen.
