If last fall's nail craze was black and deep burgundy, this year's is most certainly navy.

A few months ago I declared that I was 100% over the dark polish trend, and I stuck to it...all summer I wore Essie Mademoiselle or Sugar Daddy on my fingers and either OPI Malaga Wine, Thrill of Brazil, or Kennebunkport on my toes. But now that October has rolled around, I find myself reaching for those dark polishes again.

Fortunately there are some new goodies to choose from this season, and the best ones are NAVY. I've long been a fan of navy on the eyelids but I must admit I was hesitant about wearing it on my nails. I'm taking the plunge this week, though...with OPI Russian Navy.

Also ranking highly in the navy (he he) are Sally Hansen's After Midnight and Navy Venom...both of which I've already spotted on eBay! These have some shimmer that's not as subtle as Russian Navy's, though, which I'm not sure I love. I'm really hoping for a rich navy creme.

I'll save the best news for last, though. Our friend Annie at Blogdorf Goodman has the insider scoop on Chanel's headliner spring nail color...and you guessed it, it's navy. You KNOW I'll be waiting at the counter for that one.
