So, as you learned from my last post, the terrible two's have begun! I am at that phase where I can't remember if I changed my underwear, much less what order I put on moisturizer, primer or foundation!!!
Enter stage right, Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Moisture Lotion with SPF 15. It functions as both a moisturizer and a primer, eliminating a step in the routine of looking human when your toddler is trying to take the house down! I was skeptical, but as part of my New Year's resolutions, I vowed to clip coupons and try new things. I had a $1.50 coupon for this and was out of my Nars moisturizer (which I didn't love anyway because of the packaging... you lose a lot and I don't have the patience to open it up and dump it into a different jar).
I am rather happy with the Garnier, especially now that I have found Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation [Kristen's note: my recommendation!!]. I have also converted my nanny, and funny enough, even though she is Japanese, we wear the same shade (4.5, if you were curious). It is lightweight, with great coverage. I almost feel as if I am not wearing anything on my face at all, which cannot be said for some other formulas.
I also bought something from the MAC Fafi collection. It is a pink lipstick called Strawbaby and is awesome, but the whole time I was there I could only think about the "Who the hell is Fafi?" post and then about who the hell is Papi from the L Word (another one of my secret obsessions). All Papi did was crash the "our chart" servers with all the chicks she had slept with...I wonder if Fafi crashed any beauty blog servers?
