And the political circus goes on! I never really talk politics on this blog, but lately you just can't avoid the convergence of the political, beauty, fashion and celebrity worlds.

First John McCain lumps Barack Obama in with Britney and Paris as a "celebrity." Then TyTy Banks makes it worse by posing as Michelle Obama in that utterly bizarre Bazaar piece. THEN John McCain urges Cindy to enter a beauty pageant (jokingly, but still).

First off, I really think it was a stupid move on McCain's part to release the Obama "celebrity" ad. Why would it EVER be smart to feature Paris Hilton in a campaign ad? If you think Obama's "celebrity status" is eclipsing his experience and qualifications (or lack of, depending on your viewpoint), attacking him with an ad featuring Britney and Paris is just MAKING IT WORSE.
