Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Pedi Pistol

Have you seen the commercials for the Pedi Pistol? This new pedicure tool looks to be from the same maker as the legendary Ped Egg. With five attachments for filing, buffing, smoothing, and the like, the Pistol seems like any other motorized pedicure tool.

But its extra long handle makes the Pistol look like something you'd find at Home Depot. Seriously, are we going to start using Dremel tools on our feet now?

If you haven't yet had the pleasure of seeing the commercial, you can watch it right here at the Pedi Pistol site.

The makers of the Pedi Pistol boast that the tool enables you to get a perfect pedicure even if you can't reach your feet. Now, it begs the question: If you need the Pedi Pistol to reach your feet, then how the hell would you ever be able to apply polish?

But, these practical questions aside, I find myself simultaneously repulsed and drawn in by the Pedi Pistol commercial. The ragged toenails! The vile calluses and ripped skin being sanded off the heel! And take a look at the toes with the "French pedicure." Those are totally PRESS-ON TOENAILS! (Seriously, Revlon makes them.)

Oh, the humanity.

So...after seeing this commercial, would you buy a Pedi Pistol? Or will you stick with a pumice stone/sanding block/cuticle nippers/something from the small tools aisle at Lowe's?
