Well hello my dears! I don't know about you, but for me, July has been an absolutely crazy month. I've been so busy with work that the most exciting development in my non-work life has been the opening of a brand-spankin-new Walgreens (WITH A PARKING LOT!) in my neighborhood.
For real. This is what gets me going these days.
But of course, there was a beauty discovery to be had there, in the form of Organix Vanilla Silk Serum. I LOVE the Vanilla Silk shampoo -- it smells absolutely divine -- but had no idea there were matching styling products (there's also a blow dry cream, which I'm now dying to try).
Vanilla Silk Serum has the smooth, silicone-y texture of most hair serums, and keeps your hair shiny and smooth. I use it like my other favorite serums (Biosilk, Chi Silk Infusion, Oscar Blandi among them), just a little dab worked through hair before blow-drying or air drying. It's also great to help keep hair slicked back when you're sweeping it into a high ponytail or bun.
But what really sets this one apart is the scent. It's a super-sweet Tahitian vanilla and smells like a decadent dessert, creme brulee or somesuch. I can't get enough of it - especially when I'm outside and the sun's warmth seems to reactivate the fragrance. Mmmm.
And this lovely indulgence can be had for about $7.50 at your local drugstore (even better if it's from that brand-new Walgreens, no?).
