L'Occitane Honey & Lemon

Is there anyone out there who doesn't like the combination of honey and lemon?

Honey and lemon in tea, honey lemon cough drops (remember those old Ludens cough drops? Before they changed the recipe? Those were delicious)...there's just something so comforting about the combination, that reminds you of curling up on the couch with a cup of tea. And possibly a Snuggie.

Anyhow, L'Occitane's latest is a delicious combo of these magical ingredients, and I'm in love with it. Honey & Lemon starts out very bright and citrusy - with a whiff of Pledge that mercifully dissipates quickly - and then evolves into a rich, warm honeyed vanilla with hints of caramel. It even has a bit of warm spice that suggests a cup of hot tea.

Even though the opening is citrus, and that doesn't normally qualify as a comfort scent, I can't emphasize enough how warm and comforting Honey & Lemon is. And I just love sniffing it different points during its development.

There are quite a few options to choose from, in both fragrance and bath & body items. I almost went for the slightly sparkly Shimmering Eau de Toilette, but since I need another bottle of perfume like I need a hole in the head, I picked up the Softening Oil. A gorgeous body oil for all of $14, it's a perfect post-shower treat for thirsty skin.

Also worth a look? The hand cream and the lip gloss, available separately or as a set.
