Want to know what I'm reading this weekend? Taking a cue from Cher Horowitz, I'm reading one non-school book a week. My first book is "Fit or Fat." OK, not really (and I'm not even in school), but I HAVE been on a nerdalicious historical fiction kick lately. Having finished the most excellent--and gigantic--New York by Edward Rutherfurd, I've got Caravans by James Michener loaded up on my Kindle. It's about Afghanistan in the 1940s, and while I'm not even a quarter of the way through, I'm loving it -- it's much more exciting and engrossing than you'd think.

Fingers crossed for beach weather this weekend! I'm hoping to soak up a little sun before hitting the daily grind again on Monday. What are your plans?
