The beauty-savvy ladies on MakeupAlley are all abuzz over Model in a Bottle, a new makeup fixative that was featured on Oprah yesterday. I must admit, I am intrigued. Model in a Bottle claims to be a matte finish setting spray that holds foundation and eye makeup in place all day and all night. The company suggests that if you are a Woman on the Go, a Teen, a Performer, a Professional Makeup Artist, or have a Special Occasion coming up, this product is for you. Clever - that covers everyone but the coveted Sedentary Couch Potato demographic. Some other curious things I discovered after perusing the company's website:
- The ingredients of the product aren't listed anywhere on the website
- It's scented, which I generally think is a bad idea for your face
- You must wait 20-30 seconds after application to open your eyes
- The head of the company calls herself the Chief Executive Model
I am curious, but reluctant to pay $18 to mail-order this. Has anyone tried it? Post your thoughts in the comments.
