It has been way too long since my last post!
I have been out of town frequently, and am still in the process of moving into my new place. Everywhere I lived before was furnished, you see - parents' house, hotels, corporate apartment - so I had to start from scratch and buy a whole apartment full of furniture. The process has been fun but tiring. It has resulted in quite a bit of fatigue.
However, I have remedied this with a life-saving little box of face powder, which seems to erase my lack of sleep and makes me look like I've spent the last few days somewhere much nicer than New York in February. It is called Dallas and is made by those geniuses at Benefit, who have somehow figured out how to strike that delicate balance between bronzer and blush. This is a beautiful bronzy-plum blush that can also be dusted lightly all over the face. (That is what I do with it, since these days I spend very little time outdoors, and even when I do, it is either raining, snowing, or dark outside.)
Dallas will work on most skin tones, but for pale folk like me, this is the bronzer you have been wanting for years. There is not a trace of orange in it, so you won't look like an Oompa Loompa, but it also doesn't have so much brown that it makes your face look dirty. It just leaves your skin warm and healthy-looking.
(So that you can go on moving furniture, breathing in paint fumes and scrubbing floors, and no one will ever know.)
