Another beauty book has just hit the market - and this one promises to reveal the secrets of pageant winners from around the world. Universal Beauty: The MISS UNIVERSE Guide to Beautyis by beauty editor Cara Birnbaum and features tips and tricks from more than 20 former Miss Universe winners (the Miss Universe pageant is owned by Donald Trump; hence the title of this post). From the publishers:

Sounds like it could be good; let's hope the tips don't include putting Vaseline on your teeth, wrapping your thighs in Saran Wrap, or piling on heaps and heaps of pancake makeup! We've heard those "tips" from beauty queens way too many times. They're tired...and weird. Here's hoping that the book really does bring a fresh approach to global beauty with tips that are actually useful!
