America Ferrera definitely makes my "best" list for last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her grey Monique Lhuillier dress was just stunning, and I loved her makeup...subtle with just a touch of Old Hollywood.
Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali used Lancome products to dress up America's face for the event, and I've got the scoop on the inspiration (modern take on Hollywood glamour) and the product details.
Just as I suspected, the soft, subdued makeup we saw on America and many others was the result of a desire to respect the writers' strike. No one (ok, except for Lisa Rinna) really went all-out or over the top with either hair or makeup.
You can recreate America's look with the following:
- Lips: Le Lipstique Lip Coloring Stick in Raisinberry and Color Fever Gloss in On Fire
- Eye Shadow: Couture Warms Palette and Stylish Neutrals Palette (we saw Gucci Westman use these palettes time and time again on the runway...they're both terrific)
- Eyeliner: Artliner in Noir (one of my favorite liquid liners)
- Mascara: Cils Booster XL (mascara base) and High Définicils High Definition Mascara
