Amy Adams is a hot property this month - first she showed up on the front panel of the Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue cover, and here she is on the cover of Elle.

I LOVE the dress and I love her hair - the color! the waves! - but there's something about the facial expression that looks uncomfortable and pinched. I saw Amy up close at the Narciso Rodriguez show last week and she is ten times prettier and more relaxed in person (um, but not as hot as Jerry Seinfeld, ha ha), so I don't know what's up here.

To top it off, there are several shots inside the magazine where Amy looks freakishly like Debra Messing.

I am going to blame it on Gilles Bensimon. Ever since the horrific Scarlett Johansson cover, something has been off. While last month's Jessica Alba cover wasn't a total mess, it looked weird and uncomfortable...like this one.
