Last week I introduced you to the no!no!, the hair removal gadget that promises professional-grade results...over time. This is week 2 of an 8-week review and testing period.
I used my no!no! 3 times this week, and I'm sorry to report that my patience is already wearing thin. I'm just an impatient person, always have been. But I'm going to stick it out for at least 8 weeks to give you the most honest review possible. Plus, I really am curious to see how it all turns out.
So far, I haven't really seen any major results, but I wasn't expecting to. The treated hair seems to grow back at the same rate as it would if I were shaving, and there doesn't seem to be any less of it quite yet.
The annoying thing about the no!no! is that it takes up quite a bit more time than shaving. You have to make sure you're rolling it along your skin at the correct speed and angle, or it won't work. I've had to go over many areas more than once. And then there's that buffing step - which it seems like you really need, or the hairs just stay attached. A loofah works too, though.
That brings me to my major observation of the week. Unfortunately, the no!no! and self-tanning don't really "play nice" together. Since you're rolling a heated device over your skin and then buffing after treating it, you're bound to slough off some skin along with the treated hairs. Get around this by no!no!-ing before your shower, and then applying a gradual tanner to your legs afterward. Stay away from full-strength tanners for a while - it's a pain to have to go through that whole process only to have it (partially) ruined by the no!no!.
