While my arm was in the cast this summer I had plenty of time to fiddle around with beauty products (when I wasn't watching crappy reality TV or reading Celebrity Baby Blog, that is).

One of my favorite discoveries was Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Creme Compact Makeup SPF 15. I had a sample of it in a shade that was too dark for my face (Natural Tan), but I quickly found other uses for it, and now I'm hooked.

My casted right arm was giving me quite a bit of trouble. It itched. I worried about getting it wet. And since I could not scrub it properly, the self tanner in my elbow area just above the cast began to wear off in a hideous pattern that looked like a bad case of vitiligo!

This was totally unacceptable for public viewing.

I fished out the Estee Lauder compact and sponged the makeup onto the pale area. It blended perfectly! So there you have it, Resilience Lift Extreme in Natural Tan is a perfect match for Famous Dave's Self Tanner. And to my surprise, it lasted all day even in the crease of my elbow, and didn't smudge!

Now as the summer is coming to an end and while I'm not as (faux) tanned anymore, I still want to keep that summer glow. So I've been using the Resilience on my face as a bronzer, and it looks amazing! It stays put, and the lack of shimmer keeps it natural.

So there you have it. Resilience Lift Extreme. It's a foundation, it's a bronzer, it's self-tanner touch-up paint!
